In our first month of recycling paper at our school we have recycled over 500 pounds of paper!! At our recent drop off at the local recycling bin we filled up two large containers!! Now that the students and teachers at our school are aware of the recycling program we are trying to focus on reducing our waste as well. We are encouraging students to double side and to only print when necessary! We hope to have a recycling pick up set up at our school by the end of the year!

We have recently formed committees to gather our school's paper on a weekly basis. We are going to weight the paper weekly as well and see if we are making efforts to reduce our waste.
We will then deliver the paper bi-weekly to a local recycling bin in a neighboring community. Our goal is to show the community how much we are recycling and develop a recycling program right at the school!
