Project Updates

Since the last update a lot has happened in planning with the Public Health Specialst in Kenosha. What will be happening by the end of September includes:

-posters in the community based on one of the postcard formats chosen by the Public Health Specialist
-a postcard printed and distributed to the community based on a design from another one of the students
-an article in the local newspaper about the project
-an infomercial to be played in schools, movie theaters, and two local cable channels

We have finished the postcards, and the students have voted on the top postcard designs. I will be adding pictures of the winning postcards, as well as some other examples that the students made, soon. I need to change the format they are in since the students created them in Microsoft Word.

We are also working with a woman from the Kenosha Health Department and the Kenosha News to get some media coverage on what the students are doing. We are also working with the school to possibly have the students create a Public Service Announcement commerical that will be broadcasted on channel 20, the Community Information channel.
