Project Updates

I have been in contact with the Tennessee Animal Resource Center about their program Gotta Spay to Play this is the reply I received. I am meeting with one of their representatives soon to begin the process. "Basically, our program services low income individuals. It's called Gotta Spay to Play, and the goal is to have one of the programs in each county in Tennessee. Basically, we work with an existing vet outside of their normal business hours. For example, if they are not open on Saturday, we will reserve 1-2 Saturdays a month when the vet will come in and do spay and neuters for low income citizens. They are asked to donate what they can afford to donate. This allows us to fund the rabies vaccines that we also give the pet if they need it. The citizens receiving the service must provide us with a W-2 or proof of government assistance (i.e. welfare, TennCare, food stamp card, etc.) to receive the service for free. "

Wish me luck all I am one step closer to completing my goals! The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

~Our first donations! Thank you Heidi for your much needed and appreciated donations. Congratulations on your new companion.

~ So, I ended up keeping the Lab Chow myself to keep him from being put down. He didn't answer to Jake so Ive been calling him Bailey and he likes it much better. He is 8-10 years old, UTD on all shots and friendly with kids and other animals. I need at little help paying for his vet bills for interceptor (heartworm meds) and joint care. I can provide vet name and number to confirm. her_shooting_star@yahoo.com
