Project Updates

Our book fair, book drives, and fundraising activities have been very successful. We raised total $1231 for Sichuan’s earthquake victims and collected nearly one thousand books! We are still sorting and counting the books, and collecting more books.

Our first set of 210 books is on the way to Dujiangyan Qingcheng Mountain High School, the new name of The No. 1 High School in Dujiangyan, Sichuan!
Thanks to Dr. Yi Li, who carried the two boxes of books when he went to visit Yangzhou, Jiangsu, at the Chinese New Year. Thanks to Dr. Song Gao who shipped the books from Yangzhou to Sichuan!

We continue looking for inexpensive ways to send books to Sichuan (from Houston). Please let us know if you could help.

In addition to help the earthquake victims in Sichuan, China, our team leaders have also been conducting clothing drives and fundraising activities to help Haiti’s earthquake victims. We sent 230 items (baby’s and children’s clothes, toys, shoes, etc.) and $1003 to the Haiti victims this month. We are raising more funds and collecting more items to help these victims.
