We started in Oct 2005 with the dedication of our founder, Kathy Koltowski. She did all of the legal, IRS and state paperwork. She did not tell anyone, including her husband about her task. In early 2006 we held our first major event . . .a walk-a-thon that raised almost $22,000. There were many small events quarterly which helped to raise money. We still hold our annual walk-a-thon and it has grown to include crafts, games and vendors now. We are holding our first Victoria Tea Party in Sept, and are hoping it will become our early fall event. The people we have met, the assitance we have been able to provide and the ground we have made towards helping those living with cancer has been amazing. We take pride in the fact that our money goes directly to the patient, without overhead of office space, running the organizaiton, etc. Of course we have some expenses, but they are only postage, advertising and literature. . . . which is minimal at best.
Helping over 250 patients, in Suzanne's honor is one of the most rewarding accomplishments to date.
