The Problem

Ridgefield NWR is trying to restore habitat that has been degraded from human influence over the last 200 years. We hope to bring the health of the environment back to its orginal velocity pre-human influence in order to better supply the wildlife with proper habitat.

Plan of Action

We plan to reduce and eradicate invasive species that are non-native to the area. From this point, we will plant native species into the area to stop the process of reintroducing invasive species and slowly build that habitat back to it original health. Constant monitoring and maintence on these planting will take place after the initial projects occur.
