The Problem
The community that the Humane Society of Columbiana County (also referred to as the HSCC) is helping is Columbiana County in Ohio, and the surrounding areas.
The problem that the HSCC is trying to solve is the over-polulation of animals in our area. The HSCC is also trying to solve the many problems of neglect, both physical and emotional.
Plan of Action
I hope that I have made a positive impact on the animals at the HSCC, the people I've met there, and my peers. I try to spend a lot of time socializing with the cats so they are more adoptable. After I am done volunteering on Sunday mornings, I feel very accomplished and respected.
I hope I have impacted the people at the HSCC in a good way, too. I try to be a friendly person and do my shift work accordingly. I want to prove that good, reliable volunteers can come in all ages.
I want to prove to my peers that volunteering at an organization, working, and going to school is possible and more people should consider it.
