Voting Epidemic

the problem:

I wish to hold multiple voter registration drives in my local community to increase voter participation in local, state, and especially national elections. I wish to have information on the presidential candidates and their political views readily available to my community during these drives and to start a website dedicated to this project that contains similar information. I wish to especially target young people that are attending high school or have recently graduated high school and are in college or graduate school. These are the least likely of people to turn out for elections yet they are possibly the most influential and powerful demographic of our current American society. I wish to raise political awareness in a positive and fun way. In addition to a voter registration drive I wish to hold political debate meetings sponsored by local high schools to get students interested in politics and the upcoming presidential election. Voting is a civic responsible that many Americans, especially young Americans do not take seriously. I wish for this lack of political motivation to be transformed into an increased "voting epidemic" so to speak in my community.
