The Problem

I am raising funds and awareness about the American Red Cross through its' Queen of Hearts Program. The Red Cross does not receive federal funding and relies on the donations and volunteer efforts of its' surrounding communities. I am hoping that through my efforts people will become aware of what the Red Cross needs in order to carry on its' mission.

Plan of Action

I am planning many events to spread awareness and fund raise for the American Red Cross. There will be benefit nights at local restaurants where I will supply information pamphlets about the Red Cross. I am also planning on instructing elementary classes on emergency preparedness. Through these actions, I hope to bring in many volunteers the Red Cross needs.

Project Updates

Wake Forest Caring and Sharing- we raised $2,000 for the Triangle Chapter of the Red Cross by holding a charity concert, gift basket raffle, a DVD collection drive and fun nights at local restaurants. This money has gone to help victims of house fires.
