Waste Audit
the problem:
We took an entire day and started the process of a waste audit. This consisted of an energy reduction presentation by a local member of our DEP. We then anazlized the trash by taking everything out of the dumpster and sorting through it (:We measured light and foot candles with a small light measuring device. We also measured the temperature of the windows and doors.

8why it's important:
We wanted to start this process in efforts of becoming an EnergyStar school and enabling our students efforts to become "greener". By beginning this waste audit, we are setting goals and analyzing our progress so far.

As we continue on with this process, we will conduct an ongoing benchmark assessment to determine how our efforts are working out.
