The Problem

Myself and fellow club member decided to host the first ever West Haven High School Community Service Day. We wanted to start off my making our school a little more appealing outside around the campus. So we collected trash and recycled what could be saved. Every volunteer donated non parishable food items to W.H.E.A.T and also diapers, clothing, kid food to the Domestic Violence Services of Greater New Haven, CT.

Plan of Action

We are already planning next years Community Service Day! In the near future because of the success from this years Community Service Day, many kids from our school have come up to us members telling us ideas they had for future volunteer opportunities. We are now planning to host a Walk for Japan and a show collection for third world countries. I think VolunTeens has really united the school a little more and hopefully it will continue!
