The Problem

Many people in America tend to classify others based how they look, their race, its seems as if those people are going to just explode if they don't know what ethnicity you are. This tends to happen to blacks or people of mixed ethnicity's, a person that is "light skinned" or considered "caramel" might be asked two or three times a day what race they are. In some cases people tend to reject the undefined, a child that is white and black may not feel comfortable with white counterparts or black counterparts, they, in some cases feel lost and don't know what to describe themselves as. The problem is, why should one have to know what race/ethnicity/background a person is/has just to be friends with them, that shouldn't matter, but it does matter in this society. That is what I am trying to decrease, racial profiling.

Plan of Action

My plan of action is to start a club that allows people of all races and ethnicity's to come together and write poetry everyday about how they feel and what is going on in their life. This will show them that they all have similar problems/frustrations/concerns. Hopefully, the kids in the club will learn that how you look, where your from, and where your parents are from doesn't matter. We are all human beings, that share many things in common, but one greater fact, we all live on Earth and have the same needs as each other.
