Women Politics Media Foundation Inc.

Although women and minority leaders have made great strides in their pursuits to achieve public leadership positions and opportunities to voice their opinions on all key issues of the day, there is still a disproportionate representation of women, minority and young voices in the local and mainstream media speaking on a variety of public policy issues. Women Politics Media Foundation Inc. is a global nonprofit media training organization designed to prepare women and minority leaders to engage in traditional and new media and ultimately use the media as a vehicle to impact public policy. The WPMF Training Institute conducts comprehensive media trainings targeting minority groups that have been historically – and remain – underrepresented in the local and mainstream media. WPMF trainings offer participants an opportunity to create their own personalized media package which consists of 3 key components: an op-ed, a 2-3 minute video segment of them speaking on that same topic and a professional head shot. Through the production of these media packages, participants will be primed to present themselves and their policy perspectives to the local and mainstream media.
