The Problem

I want to educate my community and surrounding communities and anybody else interested about discrimination and its history and how it affects us today. I recently moved from the city to a county and i was apalled at the things I have seen. Kids being beat up in schools because of where they from and how they look. Adults mistreating children because of their race and gender. Adults mistreating adults over sexual orientation and beliefs. I find this sickening and its time somebody brings it to everybody's attention. I want to have several teenagers and even elementary and college students if I can to speak out about discrimination today and how it affects them. I want to be able to educate people on the long lasting effects of discrimination and how we can stop it

Plan of Action

First, I need volunteer debaters. I will offer service learning hours to those who need them. Second, I need a venue. I want it somewhere everybody can see me. Somewhere where people will stop and listen and actually care about what I have to say Third, I need publicity. I want to spread the word throughout the entire DMV area so that I can have a bigger turnout.
