See It

We established a club at Paint Branch High School in Burtonsville, Maryland called Youth End Poverty (Yep) dealing with raising money to the help the needy in Africa. We are working to create opportunities for the children’s and adults that are living in absolute poverty by saving healthy and fulfilling lives. Our mission is to end extreme poverty worldwide by helping people living on less than a dollar a day to take the first steps out of poverty, providing them with resources to build better quality of life. Our main goal is to supply the needy in Africa with essential school supplies, clothes, food and medicine. Our other goal is to educate students about poverty and what causes poverty. We are trying to addressee all the major problems that comes with poverty like hunger, lack of education , disease and many more. We help the world's poorest people to develop their potential and strengthen their communities. We pursue this goal in a way that encourages innovation and leadership and provide resources. We must identify reason why poverty exist As Dr. Martin Luther King stated: “True compassion is more than flipping a coin to a beggar; it comes to see that an edifice that produces beggars needs restructuring." We can change the present so the future can be better for the next generation because poverty travels from one generation to the next. We are trying to partner up with local agencies and corporation to launch and expand savings support to build assets.
