I am writing this letter to you on behalf of the Tucson Redskins Youth Football and Cheer Association in hopes of obtaining your support. Tucson Redskins Youth Football and Cheer Association helps improve the character of youth by teaching the fundamentals of football and cheer; teamwork, sportsmanship and discipline for our youth from ages 5 to 15 in the Southwest part of Tucson. We have found that over the years keeping our youth involved in sports, has given the kids in our community hope, heart and a way to keep out of trouble. Tucson Redskins have been around since 1986 and since then we have grown tremendously. With all the new housing development in our area we have tripled the number of participants in the last 3 years. The growth of our association has not only been with our kids but the great volunteers that offer their time to make sure everything runs efficiently. We have been very fortunate to not have to turn kids away because of financial reasons. But with each year our numbers keep growing and the cost of equipment can be expensive. We provide our kids with the proper safety equipment and uniforms needed for games and practices. During our season we are also responsible for paying the lights at Manzanita Park, TUSD for the use of Cholla HS (home field) and our assessment fees to Federation for each child registered. As you can see it gets very costly to keep our Association up and running. This is why we are now looking for additional funding, in the way of donations, grants and/or sponsorships, from organizations such as yours. We want to be able to accommodate all youth seeking to join our Football and Spirit program. All monies received would be allocated to implementing and increasing the following programs: 1. Flag football and cheer 2. Tackle football and cheer All donations to Tucson Redskins Youth Football and Cheer Association are tax deductible and a Tax Receipt will be issued immediately upon receipt of your donation. Whether big or small, every donation is appreciated and will receive the following recognition.
