the problem:
We are trying to make people more aware of the harmful effects of smoking and other drugs. If people were more aware of what drugs can do to a person and how badly they can impact a life, then hopefully they would be less likely to do it. We hope to decrease the amount of smokers, so that our world and the people living in it can be cleaner and healthier.

13why it's important:
It's important to me because someone very close to me used to smoke for years, and I used to worry about them all the time. I know that life would have been so much easier for them if they had never even started. She told me that she didn't know that smoking was hazardous to her health when she started. Eventually, she found a way to quit, this was yeas ago and she hasn't smoked since. I've always been extremely proud of her, but I've also seen a great deal of people my age addicted to tobacco. I always wondered how they could have let themselves smoke when they knew how dangerous it was. Then I realized that they probably didn't know the real dangers of smoking and drugs, and I really wanted to make sure that kids realized it at a young age like I did so that they would never start.
the plan of action:
We've done many things in the past to help make more people aware, such as making T-shirts and posters, hosting events, we've attendend Relay For Life multiple times, we even hosted a puppet show for very young children to help make them aware.
how you can get involved:
Others can help by joining the group and coming up with creative ways to inform others.
