This summer we were able to help plant a Community Garden where the produce was donated to local food pantries. This taught us how much our local food pantries do to help the community. Some food pantries serve 15 families each week while others serve 80! They all need our help!

During the harsh winter season, many children are left without warm clothing. This project will provide needy children with the basic needs donated from our Garden Grove High School students. While helping others keep warm during the holidays, you are keeping your heart warm as well.

KLIK Radio is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Internet radio station based out of Fort Collins, Colorado, run entirely by high school students. Fort Collins is a college town, home to Colorado State University. Like most college towns, the university receives an extensive amount of media attention. Newspapers cover prep sports and larger community-based projects, but radio and TV very rarely cover high school students.

We are trying to mitigate the genocide of Darfur and the effects it is having upon the Darfurian people. Due to rebel uprisings in the province of Darfur, the Sudanese government has hired a militia, called the "Janjaweed," to go into Darfurian villages and "root out" the rebel groups. However, this government funded militia has turned the situation into a genocide through mass murdering, raping, and pillage innocent Darfurian people. Because of this, 400,000 Darfurians have died, and upwards of 3,000,000 have been displaced from their homes.

Homeless animals in shelters are usually subject to enormous stress as a result of their isolation and confinement to cages. Add to that the profusion of unfamiliar smells, a broad mix of germs, the noise of virtually ceaseless barking, and a steady parade of strangers peering into their cages, and the animals' demeanor can't help but suffer. Even the most well-adjusted animals can have a hard time adjusting to shelter life, and the longer a homeless animal remains at the shelter, the less friendly, outgoing – and adoptable – they tend to seem.

We are trying to solve animal hunger at our local shelter. Will be hosting a Animal Food Drive at our school and we will have it for 2 or 3 weeks and the whole school will have a competition to see can donate the most in a class.
