World Success.

My name is Charles Thomas Barnes. I've always loved to make people happy, ever since I was born, that was my MAIN goal. It made ME happy to make others happy. If that be by doing something for someone in need, or giving them a good laugh.... But I've always been pretty much on my own, ever since I started school... I used to get picked on, but I never held grudges and I always tried to keep the peace as well as I possibly could... Sometimes I just had to walk away and leave it alone, just push it out of my life or try to at least. Some things weren't so easy to get rid of.

Cans For A Cause

I have a passion for the enviorment, as well as people not as fotunate as me, and I've found a way to kill two birds with one stone. I want to raise money for the local rescue mission and food pantry by collecting and recycling aluminum cans.

CHS Exit Sign Retrofit

Exit signs are emergency lighting that are required in every public building. Clinton High School is a public building and thus must have exit signs, but did you know that one exit sign can consume more than 10 watts! With the amount of exit signs in any given building, thousands of dollars can be saved on exit signs alone. The average bulb costs around $2.00 and uses about 5 watts, each exit sign holds two bulbs. Our plan is to retrofit every exit sign with energy saving LED Technology. The change is as simple as changing a bulb.

Global Cooling

Not only is our school old, but our school needs a lesson on the latest sustainability solutions. The Green Tiger Campaign at Chapel Hill High School is attempting to increase the eco-cred of the school while teaching students how to make change and have fun doing it.

Greening Knoxville

Our town is so small and beautiful, with one major problem. Litter clouds our streets. We want to clean the litter and educate people about the enviroment.
