Some families do not have enough resources to help their children with Down syndrome. The community doesnt always accept people with Down syndrome and give them opportunities.

We are military teen girls. Our community is filled with war, unity, uncertainty, and pride. Just as the nation felt the drastic affects of September 11, 2001, the fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters rose up in arms to protect the nation. But what happened to those left behind? Did the media put a spot light on the internal and external harms of war on military teenage girls? The military community feels the shocks every time a bomb drops, the earth quakes, the tornado rises, and the waves crash upon cities.

There's an URGENT need in schools for public education about vascular birthmarks, and an increase in tolerance towards the children who have them. Statistically, 1 in 10 children (from every country, culture, religion, and socio-economic group) are born with some type of birthmark. Three in 1000 will have a port-wine stain (with an estimated 80% of those, appearing on the face). Despite being a fairly common occurrence, many people without birthmarks will shun a child with a mark, for fear it's contagious or harmful to them in some way.

In my community there are several pantry's that are in need of some help in gathering non-perishable foods and I intend to help make an impact in that problem area.

My name is Mitchell and I’m a 16-year-old student/soccer player from Wisconsin. I started Peace Is The Goal as a goodwill initiative in October 2006 when I was 13 years old. This ongoing initiative aims to make the world a better place to live in by spreading the message of peace and giving through “the world’s game”, soccer.
Many kids in the world have little, if anything. They are desperately looking for something positive to do. They love the sport of soccer, but many don’t even have real equipment to play the game. Rocks, plastic bottles or garbage are often used as balls.

Bullying happens every day in every school.
While teachers may talk about bullying prevention, the students are the key defense in stopping this behavior. Enabling students to identify bullying and giving them the courage to speak up when they witness a peer being bullied is essential.

Hearts for Heroes is a project that shows the soldiers fighting overseas that the people in the United States are still supporting them and caring about them. Sometimes, it can get lonely when you are overseas fighting, so this project allows the real heroes to be aware that they are not forgotten and what better time to show them how much we care than on Valentine's Day!

My vision for a better community and world is one in which every transgender man feels at home and comfortable in his body and daily life, and my idea for making it happen is to produce medical prosthetics and other products so transmen (female-to-male transsexuals) can live happy, comfortable, functional lives as men.
