Art Is The Cure [AITC] was founded with the intention of promoting art therapy as a positive release for people suffering from depression, addiction, autism, self harming, eating disorders, anger and mental issues; AITC has seen its message spread world wide. A lot of people can’t talk about their problems or verbalize their pain, so using art in any form as a creative outlet can help people tell their story and get the negative emotion out of their system in a constructive, positive and healthy way.

One female cat and her offspring can produce 420,000 cats in seven years. More than 11 million dogs and cats are euthanized in shelters each year. Millions more are abandoned in rural and urban areas. 61% of all dogs and 75% of all cats entering shelters are destroyed. I have a passionate love for animals. How could I not help? When I saw some of the conditions they had to live in shelters, I was heart broken. I saw animals starving, dying and suffering. How they could let it get that bad is beyond me. Not to mention, the euthanization level was out of control.

Its hard being a child. However, its harder to live in underprivilaged circumstances and remain a child. Underprivilaged children dont have the same oppertunities as families who are well off. Strings With Wings, Inc. wants to give underprivilaged children or at risk youth an oppertunity to learn music. By allowing at risk youth to learn music, we give them a chance to transcend their circumstances and open a door to a brighter future. In Saltillo, Mexico -- I saw poverty, like I've never seen before.

4 TO 5 MILLION PETS ARE EUTHANIZED IN SHELTERED EVERY YEAR! I live in a community where there is a myriad of abandoned, abused, and neglected animals. Many of them are taken to our local shelters that have a very limited amount of space. Unfortunately, many of them are euthanized they day they are received due to lack of space in the shelters. I believe that the surplus of pets is partially due to the fact that the rates for spaying/neautering your pet in this area are very high.

What the shoebox club does is take small donations that you can put in a shoebox. The children who get the shoeboxes hardly have anything. Most of them are too poor to afford these items, or don’t even have parents to buy them stuff like that. Some of these children might have lost their parents to disease or fighting, they are called street children and for survival they beg strangers for foods and coins. Some of the children have been in earthquakes and hurricanes and their town can’t find new food or homes.
