Books For Beatz

As a senior graduating from High School last year, I noticed that some of my fellow students weren't prepared for the material they would have to read for comprehension in college. I also noticed many of these same students shared my love for music. So I decided to create the Books For Beatz program, to incorporate the love of music with the love of reading!

After School Choir

The music department at our school is low on money. This project is meant to make money so our music groups can have more fun experiences and go places that would be too expensive without extra help. Being a senior I will not benefit from the money but I know that everyone next year will appreciate any money that we can make whether it's spent on more supplies, better trips, or used as scholorship money.

YOuth Cultural center ( Bamako, Mali W. Africa)

We are youth entrepreneurs striving to achieve development in Africa. Mali is an overall French speaking country situated in West Africa, with a population of 12,324,029 or more. It is considered to be a third world country, however, we hope and intend to change that. This is only possible when we can unite and work together. We need your help so this dream can become a reality. We moved to Bamako, Mali at the beginning of 2006 and lived there for two and a half years. Five months later, in the month of September, our parents founded a learning institute.

Book drives and book fair(s) to be held to help Earthquake victims in Sichuan, China

The deadly earthquake in Sichuan, China (May 2008) affected vast number of people. High school students face great challenges. Even while the school has not yet been restored, these students are expected to cope with not only the aftermath of the earthquake, but also their schoolwork and the extremely competitive college entrance examination. Since English is a required course in high school in China and the students don't have access to English books, we would like to help The No. 1 High School in Dujiangyan, Sichuan build an English book section.
