AfricAid is an organization that raises money for school girls in Tanzania, Africa. My sister and I have organized several fund raisers, through the middle school AfricAid program, AfricAid Kids Team, AKT. We, along with 6 other students, ages 10-15, have raised over $8000.00. We have used the money for scholarships for school girls in Tanzania whom otherwise might not have the opportunity for an education.
We would like to contiue our efforts in supporting these deserving girls.
Thank you for your consideration.

The AWARENESS Program is a teen empowerment and community building program in which high school students use modeling to informally teach middle school students pro-social skills with a special focus in tolerance skills, during recreational activities that constitute healthy alternatives to alcohol/other drug abuse. Goal: To meet as regularly as possible. To begin to impact the substance abusing aspects of our schools culture by providing as many mentoring groups as appropriate.

Although my project does not yet have any participant because it is new, I made this project after I saw a stray cat in my backyard and noticed how it kept coming there, and on the news and how some animals were being abused. I plan to raise money however I can with as many participants as possible, and hand the money and pet supplies to my local animal shelter. I have a soft spot in my heart for animals like cats and dogs and bunnies, and I hope to give them a great life, while their in their shelter, so when they are adopted, the will be healthy and strong.

The Get into Giving project was started five years ago. Get into Giving allows teenagers and other youth to connect with their community while helping out the less fortunate. Get into Giving has previously involved over 50 teenagers, a local middle school, and a local orchestra group. Each group collects presents and food for the Get into Giving organization, during the winter holiday season and the presents are delivered to the less fortunate in the community.

My name is Bradford Hall and I am a part-time Student Clerk at Sallye B. Mathis Elementary School in Jacksonville, Florida. The school is an inner-city school, where over 90 percent of the students are considered "economically disadvantaged."
As a result, the Principal (Gwen Crutchfield) and I sat down to have a conversation about how do we involve the community's children in enrichment programs that will enhance their educational skills and abilities.
