Punish The Deed; Don't Punish The Breed

Through my Rottweilers, I am making people understand that "vicious" breeds are true. A dog is not born mean, the owners make them that way. Through my Rotty famiy members, I would like to set a good example for "mean" breeds across the nation.

Children Beyond Our Borders

There are 20 million internally displaced young children around the world. Of those 20 million young children, 2 million are from Colombia. Unfortunately 3 out of 4 of those children are not able to continue their education (PLAN). Not being able to continue their education makes these youth all the more defenseless against the conflict in Colombia. Moreover, a lack of education predisposes them to discrimination from the communities that surround settlements of displaced families.

Jr. Communication Committe

The youth population was estimated at 5,936 in 2008 by the US Census Bureau. As of 2007, 22.3% of people living in Del Norte County were living below poverty level. The persons living below poverty level in all of California was 12.4%, during 2007. The problem I am trying to solve is the high number of youth in my community with nothing to do and no place to go. Poverty is high and most families have little or no money to spend on safe activities for children in this area. There is limited funding available for the programs that are available and space is restricted.
