Abortion. A touchy subject but it has to be adressed.
I've take ntoice that teens these days are getting into sex. Why now? Ask them. I have also taken notice to the number of abortions that are occuring. Why abortion? Do you agree with it? Personally I am prolife. Abortion is murder. Why and how could someone take the life away from an inncoent growing human/ It's not them that should be at fault for your actions. Rape and getting pregnant, hello! there is adoption. I understand that people feel that they cant keep a baby that was created by a tragedy. I'm sorry if this applies to you but how could you take your babies life away? You were raped. You killed your baby. Murder/Rape. Abortion should be illegal to go through with, no matter the age. People in genrel should be more careful and aware of their actions. Be more responisble and screw their heads on tight.
I agree with you 100%. ABORTION IS MURDER. Sometimes you'll think how can a girl give up her own baby for adoption and go through life never knowing what is happening to the child? Well which is better to remember, "I gave my baby life, then because I loved him, gave him into the arms of a loving couple." - or to remember, "I selfishly ended my baby's life." ?
America is now engaged in a war where there are no heroes, no monuments, or accolades - only victims. Our society has declared war on it's most helpless members - our unborn children. Over one million American soldiers have died for their country at war. Since the war against unborn children was declared on January 22, 1973 over a BILLION babies have died. The definition for Abortion isn't "the removal of the products of conception", what it really means is "the murder of unborn children". And on January 22, 1973 the Supreme Court legalized "the murder of unborn children" in all 50 states during any period of the nine months of pregnancy for any reason at all, social, medical, or otherwise. Partial Birth abortion is the worse way of murdering the child. Partial Birth Abortion is when forceps are used to grabs the child's legs and pull him or her into the birth canal, the child's head is kept in the womb, scissors are stabbed in the back of the child's skull to open it up, a suction catheter is then inserted and the human baby's brains are sucked out, the childs head then collpases and the baby is then removed. ABORTION IS VIOLENT AND CRUEL, AND MOST OF ALL, MURDER! After reading that it makes you think, doesn't it? How can a doctor do something like that to a HUMAN CHILD? Well hey, he doesn't care if the child lives or not, he just wants to make ends meat, right? Not all doctors are like that though, some will tell the mother that they cant do the procedure and they will have to find someone else. I know some girls will think "Oh well its my body, and can do whatever I want with it!", well Im sorry but I have to disagree with you on that, you have someone else living in you now, and they have a right to life just as you do, but if your really just gonna sit there and have your baby's life taken away then I think yours should be taken away as well, it may sound cruel but thats what needs to happen. America has a law that says MURDERING IS WRONG, right? Yes, well..Congress has murdered over A BILLION LIVING, BREATHING HUMAN CHILDREN! It doesn't matter how "old" the child is, whether it was just made or whether its already born, killing that child IS murder! Heres a few facts I got from this website, read and be shocked: 1.Human embryo's and other organs have been encased in plastic and sold as paperweight novelty items, were selling our own children as paperweights! 2.Alot of organizations depend upon aborted babies, such as the Diabetes Treatment Project at UCL, they depend on the babies pancreases. 3.A rabies vaccine is produced by a virus grown in the lungs of aborted babies. 4.Some people "harvest" the baby's brain cells so they can use them for a transplant. 5.Tissue cultures are obtained by dropping still-living babies into meat grinders and homogenizing them. 6.Years ago 20,000 to 100,000 babies were sold to a drug company in the U.S. and the baby's placenta is sold to drug companies for 50 cents, ever heard of Placent Plus shampoo? 7.A $600,000 grant from the N.I.H. enabled one baby to be sliced open without any anesthetics, so that a liver could be obtained. The doctor in charge said that the baby was complete, he disclaimed the need for anesthetics, saying that an aborted baby is "just garbage". Oh and one more thing ever heard of collagen? Its in your make-up and its made from murdered babies. Were using our own children for make-up. America has fallen apart, terribly. We praise God soooo loudly!! And yet, in the heavenly realm, our voices raised in praise are drownded out by screams of agony from billions of babies who are being executed right now before they are even born. We cannot see them. We cannot hear them. But it is happening this very moment as your reading this! Theres some things you can try to do to stop it to: (1.) Educate yourself, then others. (2.) Volunteer to help in your local pro-life group or pregnancy help center. (3.) Lobby your elected officials. Which means write them etc. (4.) Write to Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion groups, write your newspaper, Tv stations, radio, etc. (5.) Vote, nothing will change unless you do. (6.) Support --Your stewardship is real vital. This is mostly volunteer, but as things get more and more intense were gonna need the financial support. (7.) PRAY --Pray as if EVERYTHING depends on your prayers, because it just might be so. I think abortion is not murder because who knows there may be a father that will actually kill the daughter/daughter's boyfriend for getting pregnant. I just think that should be up to the teen to get an abortion or not.

Abortion is murder because no matter what you cannot punish the baby for your faults of getting pregnant or for someone deciding to rape you.
Okay so here's the thing, I understand that abortion is murder, and that it's not right, but you know what, unlike nique_loony_zoon said, it is NOT at all your fault if someone raped you and you got pregnant. It wasn't your choice to be raped that is the thing that defines rape. It isn't consentual on both sides, if you abort the pregnancy because of that, I feel that can be forgiven. And Yes in the case of you had sex, by your choice, and not protected by your own choice. You got pregnant being your fault for your two previous choices, and aborted the pregnancy, that is wrong and murder. Adoption would be the perfect answer for that if you couldn't support that baby, give it to a loving couple that really want a child. Make someones life a whole lot better with the gift of life.
But in no case is rape an unacceptable reason for abortion. Honestly, its not your fault for someone raping you, and so no maybe it isn't 100% fair to punish the baby growing inside you, but it's not completely fair at all for you to have to live through that and get hell for aborting it because some creeper decided you'd be his next target. Murder or not. That is hardly fair to any girl. It's not her fault she got raped so there are sercumstances that have to be looked at and can be over looked in my opinion.

I am pro-choice all the way! I feel sorry for the lives that are affected by abortions, but the lives were in the hands of the women that had them. It's their choice and no one can tell someone what to do with their body.

I believe abortion is wrong but in the case of rape it should her choice. But on all other accounts it is wrong. Don't want a baby? Don't have sex. Simple. Abortion should be limited to before the baby is 4 months, having an abortion after 6 months absolutely IS MURDER. BECAUSE the baby could survive outside the womb.

i respect your opinion, but think about this: a lot of my 10-15 year old friends have already started their period. if they were raped, and abortion was against the law, then they would have to go through the pregnancy. alot of my friends are low income families, so they wouldnt be able to support a baby/ies. also, they would have to quit school for quite awhile. i am so glad that the roe vs wade case happened. i beleive that people dont have the right to kill someone, even when they're in the womb, but think about the person having the baby. they kill their own life for that baby. it's a lose:lose situation.pro-choice, still)
Did you guys know, when abortion wasn't legal, women killed their babies themselves in the following ways:
-a hanger, pole, etc (im not going to go into detail)
-throwing themselves down the stairs
-hitting the stomache/asking to be punched, kicked, etc in stomache
-illegal abortions by doctors, with dirty supplies
-Many, many, more..
It was/is sad so many lives were lost, but most of those women/wives already had 2-10 children. It is such a horrible concept. I wish we had a choice, when we have sex, on whether we want a baby, or not. Like pressing a little button that says "BABY" or "NO BABY." Life would be so much easier... I am pro-choice, and always will be. I value all of your opinions, I just don't agree with some of them. The baby will be in a better place. Would you want another child to have to go through POVERTY? I mean, think about it. REALLY think about it...

Poor and uninsured women are too often told “tsk tsk” for getting pregnant and not being able to financially care for the child, yet if they obtain an abortion that is wrong as well. Women deserve to have the ability to make a choice. Here is a simple solution, offer these women the effective, brand name contraceptives that they deserve! Now, that wasn’t so hard, was it?

Abortion is not the cause. We, as a nation, have to care about all human beings, gay people, poor people, people of color, and we have to be willing to build the support networks, education, and respect that are desperately needed. Hatred in NOT a family value; however, hatred is exactly what most parents teach their children. Whether their hates are based on race, sex, gender, ability, class; families teach prejudices, stereotypes, and false facts.

I agree with mychem. Before abortion was legal many women were using dangerous methods to rid themselves of the fetus. I think it's better that the woman can go to a clinic and get a safe abortion than with a coat hanger. I am not pro-abortion but I am pro-choice. I believe that the government has absolutly NO SAY in whether a woman can abort her child. I recently read an interesting article that basically said if the government has the right to tell us NOT to have an abortion, then doesn't that give them the same right to say we HAVE to get an abortion? Read that and just think it over because I think most of you can see where that's going. And gigglyheart-your comment is really ticking me off. You just had a forum post earlier that says you didn't understand why everyone cares whether teens were having sex and that you are and blah blah blah. Hypocrite much? But that's beside the point. I also hate to think about children raised by uncaring parents and having to live in hell. It's not fair to the child. I, personally, would rather just die than to have to live every single day unhappy or living in a different foster home every few months. Bottom line, I think it should be a woman's personal choice--not a choice made for them by a bunch of stuffy old rich men. Thank you for reading.

do any of you have any idea what it was like before abortion was legal? women having abortions in alleys, often dying during the process, Dr.s performing with coathangers, do you want that? there's a reason why they made it legal, and you need to think about that before you go judging them on the hardest decision thay ever made!

If abortion was illegal, do you know how many children would be born into poverty? what is the point of having a child if they will have a terrible life? and for those of you who were VERY misinformed, before about 4 months, the baby is just bunches of cells. no heart, no brain, no nerves. the baby is not yet human, it cannot feel the abortion. If a woman is not capable of raising a baby, raped, or is a teen pregnancy, or in most cases really, it is her choice. i am pro-choice, it is no one elses life. now stop telling people it's murder, and let them get on with their lives. you people have been misinformed. many people who've had abortion are too harshly judged. you don't know their situation. so don't be so rude. you can have your opinions, but its not changing my mind.
