Abortions?

Do you belive that this is the best thing to do. me myself i dont because i belive that it's just like murder. but without the jailtime. you should just thinkahead before only getting 5 or 10 minutes of plesure and ending up in lifetime distress. what do you think?
coming from expirence sometimes there is no right answer. i spent alot of time telling myself i was a murder and seeing myself with my childs blood on my hands so i dont think that it is murder. when your put in that situation there is no right answer, and until you are you really cant say wether it is or not. I do believe that people have the right to see things the way they want to though however, it is a very touchy subject especially for people like me who have been through it and go through times when they really regret it but sometimes you have to look at it from both sides of the spectrum :/ if that makes sense. i was thirteen when i had mine and there was no right choice but i definetly do not see myself as a murder, your forced in that position to make choices as a mother no matter what age you are or what your situation is.
it is murder those babies have heartbeats. if you can't support the child put it up 4 adoption which i no is a sad thing but still. yet of course i've never been thru it myself. :) plz don't take offense missy15 just sayin what my personal idea of it is. sry about ur baby i no u probly get that alot but... :)
oh i take no offense at all.. i just support the idea of people looking at it from the stand point of saying hey ive never been in this situation so i dont really know :/ its harder than most people would expect. and the reason i didnt well thats a whole other story but i did everything i did for my child.. at thirteen i tried to be the best mother i could be.. and wether i made the right choice or not well i dont know but i cant dwell on that i just do what i can by supporting abstinence and making healthier choices
When you had sex, you were aware that you could get pregnant. If you don't want the kid, then that's not the kid's fault. You shouldn't have had sex if you weren't prepared to deal with the consequences.
It's not the baby's fault. If you can't raise it, there are plenty of families that would love to raise your baby and love it as their own. That's a much better alternative than killing it. It's your choice, but I feel that the baby doesn't get a choice.
When they are supposed to be aborted, they are not living beings yet. However, if I were to have one, it would be MY choice and no one else. Here is what I think:
-You weren't the one having sex, so unless you were also in that bed, get out of the conversation.
-The 39 year old man raped that 16 year old girl; She gets pregnant. You try looking at a child in four years that looks just like the man who raped her without wanting to hurt someone, maybe even yourself.
-I have PCOD. If I get pregnant there is a 90% chance I am having a miscarriage or a still baby. I am also told there is a heightened chance that during birth, I will die. (hypothetical)
But, again, if you weren't the one having sex, then you aren't the one to make the decision, and it could be considered to be a tad bit of harassment if you're going to force your opinions upon someone who does not want them.
seriously i have no idea. my mind's sort of on both sides of the fence. i think its wrong cause like you said its sort of like a murrder but without the jail time. but on the other hand, i herd of a girl who was 10 when she got pregnant. now i dont know what she did but if she decided to get an abortion i would have to agree with her because i mean come on guys she was 10 years old. do you really think a 10 year old could go through that for nine months.
without abortion, my life would be a mess, my mother would be dead, it is not fair to judge!!
do any of you have any idea what it was like before abortion was legal? women having abortions in alleys, often dying during the process, Dr.s performing with coathangers, do you want that? there's a reason why they made it legal, and you need to think about that before you go judging them on the hardest decision thay ever made!
think about the whole picture! every woman's situation is different, and she should be able to make the decision herself, keep your rosaries off my ovaries!!

I don't think abortions are right at all. I think if you have sex you know there are chances of getting pregnant. When you have sex you take the risk. If you do get pregnant that baby is now your responsibility. I also acknowledge that its the mothers decision and I don't judge that fact. This is just one of the reasons why sex is a big responsibility and why teens are just not ready to have sex. It's a really a matter of the person his or her self.
Why would you punish the kid for the parent's "mistake"? They knew what they were doing. Instead of covering up the problem with abortion, they should take responsibility and either take care of the child or put it up for adoption.
To each their own. Depending on your religious beliefs and values, there are different answers. I am pro-choice, but don't discriminate against people who are pro-life. If you are, big deal. What I don't like is when people try to force their opinions on you, try to bend your values either way. Do I agree with late-term abortions? Heck no. But it is the women's decision whether you like it or not, and you need to deal with it.
From the moment that baby is conceived, it is a LIFE!!! I do not see any reason why people would abort. It is part of God's plan for them to have that baby. Every life is important. Bottom line, abortion is murder. NO ONE would be able to look at a picture of an adorable 5 year old kid and say, "lets kill them", but some people have no problem with abortion. Still doubts? You never have a chance to take that back, and that person would have changed the world for the better. Whether it was curing cancer or smiling at someone to make them feel better, they would have changed the world. So many people can make excuses, saying, "but im only 16, i cant do this." or "I already have too many things to do, i cant have a kid" If you are old enough and not too busy to have sex, then you live with the outcome. If you do not want to keep the child, put them up for adoption and find a loving parent(s) for them. Pro-Life. <3
if i got pregnant i would for sure keep the kid. I opened my legs to make it i will for sure bring that baby up no matter what anyone else thinks.
but then what if you were raped and you had to see that child and that it has the same eyes as your rapist and be reminded of that horribble ordeal every day which one would you choose ?

...well i dont support abortions. i am pro-life. it is the mother's choice , but they hav to think for 2 and not be selfish. i am very aware of y they passed the law becuz in those time becuz delivery was very risky and life-threatning. but in these times the circumstances are now quite different and honestly to me there is now no more excuses. evryone keeps on bringin up the whole rape issue...ok maybe there could b an exception for that, but that doesnt happen too often.
I personally think abortion is wrong, but ultimately its up to the woman to decide. We can all have our opinions but when all is said and done the woman has the last say.
Let me just point out: it is illegal to kill a woman. The term is called homocide. To kill a pregnant woman with a viable child is a double-homocide. Yet when the woman does not want the baby and aborts her child, the act does not count as murder. Does anyone else see that our system has twisted ethical views? There is no logic in that!
By all counts, most people would've aborted me. I was complicating my birth through preeclampsia (for more information on what this is, go to:http://www.preeclampsia.org/FAQ.asp#first)My mother's life was in danger and so was I. I came out barely viable at 25 weeks of gestation. I had a 4% chance of surviving. But my parents wouldn't give up on me. Even if I had not lasted through the week, I would've been the most loved baby in that hospital.
Needless to say, I survived,I am smart, and I have minimal health issues. I'm 19 now and technology back then was just starting to develop to save the lives of premie infants. I was the smallest baby that hospital had ever had. (The record has been broken with new technology, but still babies struggle with physical and mental issues their whole lives.) Yeah, I'm one of those rare premie kids who grow up to be healthy and strong.
As a result of the complications, my mom had a miscarriage a year later. My parents then decided not to have anymore kids. But God had another plan in mind. And His ways are always better.
My brother was going to be aborted, but his birth-mother (on her way to get the abortion no less) saw a billboard on the side of the freeway and called the agentecy. My family came home with him six weeks later. And I love him, even though he annoys the crap out of me, I can't imagine how lonely my life would be as an only child. Adopt don't abort. The emotional consequences are too great.
I am not talking of politics, I am talking about ethics.
Here is a simple solution: Don't like it, don't have one. End of story.
i got pregnant from being raped. my mom got me to get a medicated abortion because she didnt want me to have to suffer by seeing the man that raped me every day for the rest of my life in my childs eyes and because i was only 15. i wouldnt recomend getting an abortion, if u honestly dont/ cant take care of your baby give it up for adoption. but dont kill it. i have to think of my baby every single second of every single day since october 24, 2009 when i got my abortion.
Abortions are wronge in my eyes due to the fact that it is MURDER ! Plain and simple people ! The baby was concived ! It eats ! So obviously its a life. If you have been rapped then i am sorry but there are adoptions ! You wont have to see the kid EVER again ! So if a man killed a woman he would go to prison ! But if a woman killed her OWN child , its okay because its legal and its her body ? That is very messed up people ! Its just black and white, not shades of gray ! What has our society came to , to allow this type of crime upon an innocent soul that cannot protect themselevs or have a SAY in the choice the immature mother makes . . .
I am pro-life. But, I have so much respect for women who go through with abortion. I do if they did use protection. If you don't, it's really your own fault. I think if you are not emotionally or stably to have a child to deal with then do what you're heart tells you to do.

Wow.. This is such a strong topic. I have never experienced anything like it but I know MANY who have. I can't say what a person should have, could have, or would have done but it's life. We're all different, we all make different choices, & we all have different options. If I was facing a decision such as this one, I would do what's best for me. We can judge one another but you can't really say until it's YOU. I am one who believes everyone is entitled to their own opinion therefore I agree with all of you. I am neither against nor promoting abortion. I think we as young women, women, & girls shall do what's best for us. Take it easy ladies...
am not against abortion but i think that we should think about the consequences and rewards before doing anthing. and it is our choice to keep the baby or not.
