Do you see what I see?
Does anyone see what I see on this site? Even though I have only been on this site for a short amount of time, I have noticed that only a few people share the belief that homosexuality is wrong. People post things about how people that have this belief are discriminating others and that we should be ashamed and stuff like that. Believe it or not though, doing THAT is discrimination and stereotyping. I am not ashamed of what I believe, but it can hurt when you see that just because your belief is different than that of others, you suddenly become a bad person. Does anyone else agree with me? Does anyone else share my beliefs? If you do, please post a comment and then go look at a forum made by parisgirl13---"Believe it or not, you are too" it is a really great thing to read!!! Im with you on that. That has always bothered me. The matter of the fact is, not too many years ago homosexuality was a big taboo, but now its just everyday life. Im glad that I found you.

I feel the same way, being a homosexual was a bad thing when I was little and now its all of a sudden ok when its not! Plugs do not go with plugs and outlets were not ment to go with outlets! Plugs go with outlets thats why GOD made MEN and WOMEN not MEN and MEN or WOMEN AND WOMAN!
Personally, but I don't believe gay people should be treated any differently than straight people. They're still people, they still have feelings.

not long ago we were going through the same thing with racism, people like you thought that being black was wrong. when people were saying that you were discriminating against them, they are not discriminating against you, merely sharing their feelings.
@Varekai, who are you to say what is supposed to go with what? I don't think that's any of your place to judge,and I must say, I don't have much respect for people who do judge gays!!
I do not see why when the belief that I have about same-sex marriage and relationships means that suddenly I am a racist! For some reason people always make a connection with what I believe and racisim. I would NEVER EVER EVER judge someone based on their race. Does anyone else not see that there is absolutly no connection between race and being gay?<3
there are so many connections between racism and homophobia, I could write a book on the subject! how could you possibly say that they're not related? any kind of situation when you our being a hateful bigot it is wrong! you are speaking out of both sides of your mouth when you are being a bigot towards Gay people, yet saying you would not be racist, in my opinion, you are as bad, if not worse, than the racists! maybe you should keep in mind the families you are ruining, the lives you are destroying, and the people you are hurting. If you cannot manage to muster feeling bad for the gay people, try feeling bad for their families, for their children!

all this talk about how homosexuality is wrong. it's great that you have your opinions. here is my opinion...
all of you that think homosexuality is wrong are close minded, ignorant people. first off, not everyone is not of the same religion. there are different beliefs. everyone is entitled to their believes without fear of reprisal or discrimination. it's time for people to be educated. stop using a book of fiction (the bible) as your defense. let's talk about fact.
homosexuality is not a disease. it occurs everywhere in nature. well, that pretty much covers it. haha
and yes, thinking that homosexuality is wrong is a similar to racism. the statement about in history that black people were wrong for being black, you are saying the same exact thing about gay people. let's put it this way, we are all of the same race, the HUMAN RACE! why don't people get that. everyone is so quick to judge others for being different.
for all those who think gay people are wrong, devious, sinners here is a solution for you. round us all up and send us through treatment. yep, that's right. electroshock therapy, prescription drugs, torturous treatment from all the quack doctors who would do this. make us straight. and while you are at it, go back in time and round up all the black people, bleach them and make them right.

Hahaha this is an interesting topic. Justmeokc79 your very right. Those who think homosexuality is wrong are close minded, ignorant people. People are allowed to believe in any religion. And as what my teacher once said, "Religion is okay, it's alright, as long as they keep it to themselves." You may believe in the bible, go ahead but let others have their own way of believing their own religion, their own sexuality. Keep your belief to yourself, and let others choose their own path.
I am pretty much 100% Pro-Choice. Hey, if you're a woman and like men, good for you. If you're a woman and like women, good for you.
I don't see why people worry about other people's lives so much. If you care about changing other people's lives that much, maybe you should think about getting a hobby of some sort to occupy your time.
Also, I'm not very fond of the Bible, but I'm positive that God said that he loves EVERYONE. I remember when I was a little kid my Grandma and I would always sing "Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so." So can gay people not sing this song? Does God not love them like he loves me or any other straight person?
And like I said before, I'm Pro-Choice, so if you want to believe that gay people are going to hell or anything like that, fine. Just don't go and take away their rights as HUMAN BEINGS to not marry, and don't discriminate them and treat them like aliens.

Those of you who are saying that homosexuality is wrong are out of line. Those comments are ignorant, offensive, and extremely uncalled for. How dare you judge someone based on who they love! And for those of you who are saying there is no connection between racism, and homophobia, you are wrong. Individuals of color, and gay individuals share the burden of an oppressive society, a society that not so long ago felt being black was "wrong." Your ignorance is a blatant disregard to human rights! Being gay is NOT wrong. In fact, if you actually read any literature you would see that hundreds of scientific studies have proven no one is 100% straight. Sexuality is extremely fluid, and hateful judgements lead to bigotry and repression. I will continue to fight against ignorant people like those of you with such oppressive beliefs, and I encourage everyone who is gay out their to BE PROUD. You say that we should all respect eachothers opinions no matter what they are, but no, I refuse to respect a hateful opinion that adds to the oppression of people who may be different from your 'hetersexual norm.' Would you 'respect someones opinion' if they said that being black was wrong? Or said that gays deserve to die? There comes a time when you must stand up for what you believe in, even if that means disrespecting someones 'opinion.'

I agree with your beliefs completely. Even though I haven't seen these things on this website, i do believe what you saw because it is entirely possible. And I wish people wouldn't do that, especially since we are technically all one and the same, so when we say something to someone else, we are saying it to ourselves.I hope you and I can talk again soon!!!!And I hope I helped in some way!!!!
