Getting People On Board

So I am working with my school to start a Jeans For Teens drive that will be donated to homeless teens. I go to a private school so it is very hard to get a lot of students involved in practically anything. After the jeans drive is over I want to have a fashion show at my church in the huge gym to show off the jeans with ticket sales money to go toward buying christmas presents for homeless teens as well as kids.

I really could use some exciting ideas that will make more people want to come to my event?!
Suggestions?

I was already thinking of the possibility of having a few bands come and a rock band competition.

I don't know about the fashion show, but for the actual Jeans For Teens drive, maybe you should try making in a competitoin between homerooms, and the winning class gets ice cream or a pizza party or something. We did this at my school for our Thanksgiving Food Drive and people brought a ton of food.

Look for corporate sponsorship, particularly local sponsorship. It could be the (insert road name here) McDonalds Teens for Jeans drive. Multinational corporations like events that make them look good.
