Got Any advice? o.O

Back to 'Health & Fitness' forum.

Okay well to start off I've noticed that I've gained weight, I've tried diets and tried keeping my mind busy so I won't think about eating when I'm bored but not matter what I still keep gaining weight. I mean my thighs are getting a little bigger and my stomach feels a little bigger too, my arms are getting thick. What can you recommend for me to try or do. I seriously do not want to become one of those anorexic girls or bulimic. No wayy in hell would I be that dumb to do that to my body. I weigh about 175ish or something like that. I just want to do something to get my arms to be less thick and my thighs to become thin. Any Idea's???

wats good first off i know all about that this is what you need to do stay active like running watch the sugar and fat in foods its ok to eat wat you like just regulate the times a day you eat breakfast lunch and dinner i guess its ok to have a snack in between times just keep your self active turn up the radio and get crunk

Lolz thanx :)I'll keep that in mind.

Get a trainer, see a nutrionists and please dont make it seem like dumb ppl resort to eating disorders to lose weight becuz i was one of those ppl

I agree with Breyanna, just because someone has an eating disorder does not mean they are "dumb." It's a mental illness. Learn the facts, please.

do u do any sports? ive been in gymnastics since i was 2 and every day i go out and exercise. i will ride my bike or i'll run around the block w/ my brother or alone. i do sit-ups & push-ups supposed to be every nite but i don't do them EVERY night.

Well the thing is I have a bunch of metal parts in my back since I was in the fifth grade cuz of scoliosis. I am trying to find ways where I won't be in pain but can still be healthy.

Some good ideas to keep in mind include replacing less healthy foods and snacks with fruits and vegetables. Try to eat slower and smaller portions, enjoy each bite! Exercise can be anything, from walking, biking, aerobics, or yoga- just try to do something active each day. I love to listen to music or talk with a friend whenever I go on a walk!

What I've started is a food diary. I write down everything I eat. It keeps me conscious about what I eat and I've lost three pounds in 2 weeks, which is healthy rate. I've sacrificed dessert and I have it twice a week or less and I think that helps. I don't eat meat because it's wrong and fattening at the same time. Instead of eating when you think your hungry, drink a glass of water and wait fifteen or twenty minutes. If you're still hungry have a fruit or veggie. Good Luck, but remember you're not what you weigh.

In my opinion, theres nothing wrong with weighing 175. But maybe you could just walk places more. Just go to the mall and walk around with your friends. Be like a little kid and play tag, hide and go seek... stuff like that:)
And theres nothing wrong with having some sweets and junk food. Just cut it down and realize what youre eating. Calories arent that good. But there are some good carbs. If youre waning to tone up, eat good carbs and excerise 30 minutes at least 3 times a week. Its not so bad if you have someone that will do it with you and help encourage you.

What about some water sport like swimming or water aerobics? But also remember that this is only so you will be healthier, not because you do not feel attractve because of your weight. Be yourself and be confident! <3

hey man ive been thinkin the same thing too.i used to weigh 180 max.i mean if i saw i weighed 180 i would diet at skool, eating only salad w/no dressing & i would cut out soda&juices for a month, that would get me down about 10pounds.but since i moved out to MN its been hard. This skool doesnt offer the same foods as my old skool&i cant cut out lunch in favor of salad anymore, because its not always offered.it really sucks cuz i noticed that i gained weight.i got a memberchip to the gym and join basketball but it seems like im not doing any better.I weighed myself last night & im 197 pounds now! agh. but i did some looking and i found out drumming is a good tool for weight loss. i love music so i think i wanna try it,i play guitar but drums looks like fun to. so if u like music i recomend it. its suposed to be as good if you play 1 1/2 hour to as if you ran a 10k run.

Well the best thing you can is exercise, but in my opinion the best thing you can do is to not think about it, I mean just keep on living your life if you don't worry about your weight gain no one else will either. If you stop thinking about it you will lose weight and besides stressing about it will just make you keep on thinking about the food you eat. So just relax and chill your weight will be fine don't worry.
