Ready, Get Set, Go: Project questions

Hi! I'm totally new to forums and Dosomething but i have an idea on starting a global hunger club at my school and maybe slowly to an organization. Ever since I saw a little girl staring at me through glass windows while i was eating in a nice restaurant in a foreign country, I've been thinking of how I leave in the United States....and how we ALL live. Some people are just not appreciative. In the hallways i hear, "OMG i totally wish i had another Ipod, this one is soooo ugly.".....It makes you reflect about how all of us live and not realize others are suffering.

Anyway, my question is, if anyone can answer me please, if i raise money for a cause such as hunger and poverty, how do i make sure my funds are received by hungry people in need instead of money-thirsty bureaucrats?

I know how you feel about "money-thirsty bureaucrats". =) What you can do is look at organizations and then try to talk to them and ask them exactly where the money will go to. Look for things that are non-profit as well. Something that would be really cool is that you could sponsor children!!! Go to WorldVision.org/Hunger. I'm not exactly sure how this one works, but my grandparents do this through there church and they get letters back from the kids!! Good luck with your club!!! <3
