Invisible Children

Invisible Children is a great non profit out there in order to rescue child soldiers from Joseph Kony, a power hungry terrorist who believes he is doing the will of God. This war going on is the longest running war in Africa and Invisible Children is trying to end this. Founders Bobby Bailey, Jason Russell, and Laren Poole visited the Sudan and found these young children commuting at night in order to escape abduction by Kony and his men. From that point on, they made it known to the world what was going on in Africa.

There are thousands and thousands of children out there who were abducted and are continuing to be abducted by Kony. They are trained to kill their family and friends. Invisible Children is working to help these children and end the longest running war in Africa.

Please support them and learn more about the story by visiting invisiblechildren.com. You can watch their movie and read the stories that they have. Also, on June 22-23 in Washington, D.C. they are holding the THIS IS HOW IT ENDS Lobby Days where hundreds of people will gather to lobby to our politicians to help end this war. Politicians, celebrities, and the founders of Invisible Children will all be there.

I saw there documentary and it touched me dramatically. I worked in a preschool and to see the children in the documentary, it really got to me. A friend did her senior project with the organization. She designed 2 shirts and had everyone buy one and she raised thousands for the organization. They also sell braclets on the website if anyone wants to contribute.

This is a great organization, I've been interested in it for quite a while now.
I almost went to Displace Me in 2007 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Displace_Me) but my parents wouldn't let me :(
Maybe they'll do another one in the near future.

I have been an activist for this cause for several months, and I discovered another website on the topic: http://www.fallingwhistles.com/
it's very informative, very interesting, and very hart wrenching!! thanks for posting this, this is definitely something people need to know about, the sad thing is that a lot of people don't. I have been an activist for many years (mostly for Darfur),but only discovered this cause brother recently, when I did discover it, I was astounded and outraged, why hadn't I heard of this before?
there are so many causes in the world, how can we possibly pick one cause to fight for?
I want so bad to be an Invisible Children Roady, but I am not old enough yet! I am so passionate for this cause, and I am ready to dedicate my life to it!!

again thanks for posting this!!
