pet over-population
i am trying to help all the animals that have no family to call their own. the problem i am trying to solve is pet over-population. pet over-population means that there are more pets than there are good families to take care of them. people get pets and don't spay/neuter them then they breed and have babies that are not wanted. then they put the babies in a box or cage on the side of the road and abandon them. for this reason and more humane sociteies are full. to help reduce over-population i think it should be a law that you have to get your pet spayed/neutered, or if you want to breed your animal you have to get a license stating that you have the right to not get your pet spayed/neutered, and if you don't have a license and your pet is not spayed/neutered you will have to pay a fine.

SUPER GOOD IDEA. Willing to help any way I can.
Good idea but how much is the licince? Cause my family has four kids and thing aren't cheap.
i do believe in pet over population totaly, it exists completely...and those poor animals that were born into poverty because of numerous reasons being maybe someone believe thats every animal has the right to become prego or some people just let it happen...i think about the human population also, all the poor kids that struggle in the ghetto, who live on bread and potatoes...i was one of them.and its not about killing thr animals if they are born, its definately about prevention...i wonder if the cencus berough includes the count of animals in the household as well as the people, that could be key in counting all animals more structurely and possibly help in making a law in how to prevent and what can be illegal/legal/hmmm.
There is a program that you can get involved in called the Trap/Neuter/Release with Alley Cat Allies (It is the ONLY proven method of decreasing animal overpopulation-killing and relocating animals has been proven ineffective & inhumane). You can barrow an animal trap from a local shelter (don't let the shelter or animal control get involved because they will have to kill the cats) and lure the cats in with food. Then you take them to the vet to be spayed/neutered & ear-tipped and once they're recovered you let them go. This keeps your community from being over populated with cats and the shelters from killing all the homeless kittens that would have been born from the cat. The more cats you help the more kittens you save. If the cat you catch has a collar then let it go and talk to the owner about getting it spayed/neutered.
That is a great idea
