Securing the Blessings to Ourselves and Our Posterity....

The Preamble to the Constitution states:

“WE THE PEOPLE of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

If you had to grade the current U.S. government on all these things, what would you give them?

This is how I would grade them:

Forming a more perfect union:C
Establishing Justice: C
Insuring domestic tranquility: C
Providing for the common defense: C
Promoting the general welfare: C

Securing the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity: F

You are probably thinking,"An F? Really? That's pretty harsh."

Yes. I'll tell you why.

America is in debt. How does the government plan on dealing with that? Stimulous packages and government programs. Those cost money. Where is the money going to come from? More debt. Who is going to pay off that debt?
Not them.

Us. This generation is going to pay off the debt of America. Debt that we didn't even get into. How fair is that?

We are going to have crazy high taxes and no social security because the generations before us made poor money choices. How fair is that?

The government is making descisions that will have us pay in the future and we don't even get any say in it. How fair is that?

I say it isn't very fair at all. I feel like the government is stealing from their children! I want to do something about it!
