This is a huge concern, anyone who is interested in getting help who live in the area of Oak Brook, Buffalo Grove, or Orland Park, Ilinois.
Have friends at Laser Concepts of Chicago, call them today and find out how you can quit smoking. You will kick yourself that you didn't do this years earlier. Pain free, no side effects, you and your family will be healthier. Depending on how much you smoke, this usually pays for itself in the first month.
Just mention DO SOMETHING.ORG to get your special offering. Or tell them Laurie sent you.
At the end of the day, parents/smokers must make that choice for themselves. I agree that there should be some laws in place to protect those who can not always do it themselves...as that is what laws are for right?
Smokers have a right to breathe clean air. Our society has spent too much time and effort trying not to make smokers feel uncomfortable and taking away their rights. In the meantime, nonsmokers have seriously suffered. Over 440,000 Americans die every year from smoking-related illnesses. We can sit by and continue letting tobacco be the number one leading cause of death and disability in this country , or we can step up to the plate and make a drastic change. If we have to hurt a few feelings to save thousands upon thousands of lives--well it's really a no-brainer...
If you want to smoke, then smoke. If there are others in your home take them into consideration. Keep smoking outside or out a window. Don't do it around others unless they choose to be around you when you smoke.
well, we all know the statistics of smoking and what is does to the cells within your body (will spare everyone from the detailed process...) but these laws should be in place for public places- sure smokers have their right to smoke, but I, a nonsmoker also have a right to breath clean air without choaking on the foul leftovers of the rude person smoking next to me. I support the laws 100%
