Sled Dog Racing

What do you think of it?
What about the Iditarod; the 1,049 mile sled dog race across Alaska?
Recreational mushing?
the care of sled dogs?
Those dogs love to run and often recieve better treatment than most "family" pets. I agree, there must be someone abusing their dogs out there, but for the most part, it is a fantactic program that allows the dogs to do what they do best.
Some have abused the dogs but not all some of owners are really gentle to their dogs and do not put them through torture like others.
Its a sport. And just like anyothere sport it has its advanages and disadvanages. A: dogs get to do what they love to do which is run. D: when they get tierd they just have to learn to grin and barrett.
