Violence against Children!

I would like to open the very hard topic about violence against children. It is a very hard topic to discuss I know but it must be shown that this can happen anywhere and anytime. I am 24 years and still live at home, there is a reason! I help take care of my 11 year old niece and my 12 year old nephew. My youngest nephew whom is 8 years old I never get a chance to see anymore. My niece and nephew live with us because their mother (Whom i chose not to call family) allowed her boyfriend to physically abuse the children saying that he was just being strict and there was no problems. There were! My niece had bruses up and down her legs and there is more... My youngest nephew had to have his upper two teeth removed because they were pushed into his gums and could not be repaired. The nephew that lives with us was in such bad shape he would hardly speak for the first two years we got him. My mother fought in court and won full custody of both children (Younger nephew went to his biological father). They have been living with us for going on 5 years and in that time their mother has come to see them 2 times. Just 2 times in 5 years!!! On top of that she married the man that did these things to the children. These kind of things need to be looked at and stopped! Violence happens right under our noses sometimes and it is very sad!
