What are people and the government doing about poverty?

Should people and the government do something to help people wiith no money?

People are. Unfortunately that topic is one of many unsolved debates between republicans and democrats in our country. The topic is not that black and white. Unfortunately some people choose lifestyles that lead them to have no money. If the government helps these people the government must tax the people that have money, many of which worked hard to have stable finances. But where does the government draw the line to who deserves money and who doesn't?

In my opinion, the best way to help solve poverty in America is by private systems such as St Vincent De Paul, which is a catholic owned establishment that helps house and feed low income people in the San Diego area as well as offer job entrance programs for the homeless and unemployed.
