Why are people so Mean?!...It Makes No Sense!
I Often wonder why people are the way they are, people Now and days are so mean and they just don't care!..i hate it...people say things that don't need to be said, and they don't care if it hurts someone or not...if i could do something about it i would, but i don't know of anyhting i could do...it hurts me that it happens, I'm a White girl and i have a Black Boyfriend, and people are mean..they say why don't i find a white guy, i really hate that people are still like that these days!..it makes me not like my own race because of it..It Makes No Sense at all to why people are the way they are!!!..and people need to stop it...We Love each other very very Much...and for people to act the way they do and say the things they do, is not nice at all, just plain rude.
I'm In your position. I am Puerto Rican and I have a cambodian boyfriend and my dad wants me to date someone of my race. It does make me angry to see how ignorant people are these days. My mom has no problem with it, my mom loves him dearly. Like it or not people aren't gonna change ever, we just have to deal with it and move on. Your gonna find people like that everywhere. I feel that way too. At my school people ( I mean, Very snotty, mean people) dicide to delclare themselfs "popular", because they are skinny or pretty, and they are always SO mean. And they "dicide" that everyone who might just be a little bit over-wieght or ugly is "unpopular!" And the "unpopular" are always the very nicest people!! It's unfair!
For me it is hard... I am Indian, Puerto Rican, Mexican, White, German, Scott-Irish, English, Native American, and French Canadian. Do you know how hard it is when you are half hindu and half baptised Christian??? People dicriminate against people like its nothing. I know how you feel! My mom is white and my dad is Puerto Rican and my WHOLE life has been hell from my dads side. they hate the fact my dad is with a white woman. Since I am half and half, my Dads Dad wants me to be with a Puerto Rican, I am currently with A white Guy from Agusta, GA and my grandfather hates the fact I'm with a white guy. We plan on getting married and I'm going to invite my dads family, but I'm not holding my breath so see if they show up. I think this the Whole race thing needs to be dropped we are all the same color on the inside and thats all that counts.
If you are happy with the person you are with, what others think should never bother you or get inbetween you and the person you love. Its been hard for us but we dont let it bother us. Love is stronger than anything in the world!!!
You are so right people just dont care anymore about how they treat others. they dont understand the impact they have by calling someone a racist name or call someone a retard..(hate that word!!). I wish people would remember the golden rule... treat people the way you would like to be treated.

Sometimes they act that way because they have been hurt before and they think that's the way to act so they don't get hurt. Sometimes they have been so rude that it doesn't even matter to them. And also people will be dumb enough to find someone to bother and bug, but at the end you know that the victims are them, because they have nothing good to give to the world to make it a better place.
It doesn't matter who you love, as long as your happy. In the end its not going be between you and those people anyway.
Usually people are mean for no reason because they are unhappy with their lifestyle, they don't think what they have is enough, and since they are unhappy they want to see others unhappy as well. it's hard and really the only thing you can do is stand up for yourself or ignore it.
coming from a person who was once on that side, being mean is all about power, but when youir on the other side of the fence & your the one being made fun of, it doesnt feel that good,people like to be mean becaus eits a sense of power of they know they hur tyou there satafied, it may hurt but you have to keep it in, because if they see it hurts you there just gonna keep doing it. Just walk away or go talk to somebody so you dont breakdown.
I fell in love. He is black, I'm white. I never got to date him because my parents wanted me to date someone of my own race. I was so mad at them. Don't get me wrong, mt parents are not racist, they just live in fear of how others might judge them. Obviously, I listened to my parents and didn't date him...(ONLY to make my parents satisfied) This guy that I fell in love with is everything that I was looking for in a guy. I trust him more than my own family! I trusted him since the day he told me his name!! That seems like Love to me considering that I have trust issues...Now 7 months later he has a girlfriend(been dating for a few months) and I dumped my boyfriend because I kept comparing him to the guy that could've been mine...I see him everywhere, I feel his touch again, I love the way he smiles even when he's not smiling at me...True Love?? I will probably never know...Is my sadness because of my parents?????? Any Advise on how to deal with faking a smile and listening to everyone just to make them happy and please everyone, When I'm heartbroken???
Sweetheart,don't you ever and I mean ever let anyone stop you from being truly happy. I don't care if the young man you fell in love with was born on Mars... When you put your foot down and LIVE your own life, your parents will accept it. I know they are fearful for you because of what others think, but it is 2010 and we have got to start somewhere. Sometimes i feel like im the only person in the world who is attracted to people of ALL races. Of course i know thats not true, clearly. But people can be so dramatically ignorant that you cant help but think so. Keep your head up :)
People who are mean are insecure!
People are inherently good. It's the mob mentality of young people that screws everyone over. If people were more confident in themselves and their abilities they'd feel less of a need to tear someone else down.
Most of those who act cruel to others know what they're doing is wrong - and often times they feel remorse. I honestly feel bad for them... they're stuck in a world where the only way they'll fit in is if they somehow cripple someone else.
If we work hard enough then we can eradicate rasism. In our familys it just may take dating a person of a different race to get our parents to see that race doesn't matter.
and some people who are mean have horbile lives at home. so whaen they go to school or other places they want to feel like they do have some type of power. So they try to hurt others that look weakeer then the are.
I think people are mean to other people is because it makes them look superior and you usually won't find a whole bunch of people rebelling against a mean person in average life.
Or you could understand everything throughly and notice how strong people are mostly created from 'trolls' and 'bullies.' Also, you say they don't care for what they say, you have no idea what they're thinking they could've just thought something like "Why do I keep doing this?" or maybe "I wish I didn't need to be mean."
Just like war, as bad as it is, it still helps to keep population in check.
Bad things keep good things in check.
