I sent out letters to five area golf clubs explaining the campaign and how it can affect a child in need's life. Not only did golf courses donate but friends and family throughout our county! The community support was tremendous. I was interviewed on a morning radio show publicizing the campaign. After getting off the air I hadnt walked to my car when a listener had called in to donate clubs.

It was so wonderful.

I donated the clubs last friday the 13th to an the Evergreen Boys and Girls Club of Indiana County in PA. There was an assembly at a local elementary school where the kids were each given a club. As you can see from my pics they were extremely happy and excited. I was also given a special award from the club for my donation. I know that golfing is an expensive sport. Some kids in need never get the chance to experience that chance to participate in golf. This gave kids the opportunity to hold a club and take a swing. Take two swings. See if it is something they would be interested in pursuing before making the expense. It was a huge success! My goal was 100 clubs. I collected close to 450 including shoes and balls.
