HELPRZ is a club of high school students from Steamboat Springs, Colorado going to Zambia, Africa to complete service projects. I am Lennae Jenkins, club leader and Steamboat High School graduate. I lived in Zambia twice: working at a chimpanzee sanctuary and building a school for the local kids who's families work at the sanctuary. I raised over $15,000 for the building of the school. While i was there, I worked with the people to build the school and I hired a local teacher to teach.

The OCHS Interact Club is helping to beautify the Howard Stainton Senior Center in Ocean City, New Jersey. The Ocean City High School Interact Club and the Ocean City/Upper Township Rotary Club is open to all OCHS students between 14 and 18 years of age. The club has several goals. The first is a project of international scope. The second area of service is to our community. The last Service are involves the school. We are continually looking for projects that make OCHS a better school. The projects we do all have fun as a requirement.

Funds would be used to develop land into athletic/recreational playing fields. The land donated in 2006, congruent to Henry School, provides adequate space for softball, soccer/football fields, and a walking track. Funding would enable the school to purchase a backstop and fence for the softball field, and two goals and one goal post for the soccer/football fields. With these improvements made, the local board of education would allocate funds to surface a walking track.
Of the 510 PreK-8 students, 80% receive free or reduced lunches.

This prom is being held at the Gay and Lesbian Fund here in Colorado Springs on the 26th of April. I hope for it to be educational and fun for the entire community. We, my committee and I, are bringing in pamphlets on safer sex, tobacco prevention, drug prevention, alcohol prevention, and we're discussing STD's and making people aware of each topic. All at our prom.
I don't want this night to be just fun and games.

People are defined by the way they act, the experiences they encounter, and the accomplishments they achieve. These three factors help create individuality and success. The events someone remembers most vividly are also the experiences that have the greatest affect on one’s life. Although I have many more years to live and places to explore, one occasion that I believe will stick with me for eternity occurred during the summer of 2007.
