See It: The Community being helped

BLURB was created in the summer of 2007. It is a girls only middle school youth group where girls between 6th-8th grade come to learn about their faith, play sports, and interact with other girls their age. It is held on Friday nights and typically consists of a devotional, which discusses a topic the leaders feel is an important part of the girls lives, and than leads into an activity and a sport. The discussions range from not worrying to being a good friend to loving people unconditionally. The sports also cover a wide variety of areas so that every girl gets there chance to shine. BLURB is held in a friendly christian environment and not only teaches the girls about life but also gives them time to create lasting friendships together.

We are a group of high school students who are concerned about the violence in our schools and communities. We want to make a differnece. We go to four different middle schools each week and work with the kids on ways to counter the violence in their lives. We do real crazy skits and activites that teach students that there are other ways to react to violence than just beating someone up! We believe we can make a differnce one student at a time. If you live in Wichita come get trained and join the FUN!
