Family Fest

Bronx Helpers are planning Family Fest to take place in Claremont Park, in the Mount Eden neighborhood of the Bronx. We will host our event on Global Youth Service Day. The first thing we will do for Family Fest is clean and fix up Claremont Park. One thing we hope to do is paint the benches and pick up trash and chip off graffiti. We are inviting community members to participate in this event to help out with the clean-up and then to participate in team-building activities and a BBQ in the park.

Jefferson State Music Festival

The Jefferson State Music Festival raised over 400 pounds of food last year as just a free music festival asking people to bring food for the price of admission. This is going to be the fifth year and we would like to get it non-profit status to increase the productivity and grant funding in the future. It costs about $500 dollars to get non-profit status.

Farmers Market

I've been to a few Farmers Markets that rock. The Farmers Market in my home town could use a pick me up. We need to advertise to get more local vendors in, excite the towns people about what is being offered, and educate why its important to buy local. I am just beginning this project. I've contacted a few people who have grand Farmers Markets in their cities and will be meeting with them for ideas on how to better ours.

The Greenville RiverRock Festival is a free, day-long, live festival to support local music in the Greenville/Eastern North Carolina region. This festival hosts a rare opportunity for all walks of life to set aside differences in age, gender and income and enjoy grassroots arts at its best.
