The mean girls clubs stands for : motivated, educated, apologetic, negotiate, gracious, intellectural, respecful, loving, sisterhood. The club recurits girls that are at-risk and helps them develop skills that allows them to become independent and teaches them how to make better choices. The program is designed by counselors utilitizing many resources dealing with depression, self-mutilation, suicide, coping skills, decision making skills, study skills, understanding one's leaning type, and the buisness world. We bring in professional women from all walks of life to work with them in different areas such as volunteering, abuse, developing and career plan and other such topics. We design field trips that would inspire them to look closer at fields in science, math, aeronautics, and journalism. This club is offered to girls ages 11 to 14 and who are in at-risk situations or single parent homes. This program is conducted twice a month bringing a different speaker each time to discuss different topics. We promote emotional health, goal setting, and leadership skills to help the young girls develop a sense of self worth and independence.
