Dollars for Diabetes, an initiative started by Team Brotherly Love is a project run by kids for kids. It was founded after Team Brotherly Love started the JDRF Golf & Tennis Open one year ago, in order to get kids involved. The initiative gets children of all ages engaged in fundraising or what we call, "FUNraising." These youth philanthropists "funraise" at all community events ranging from town fairs to tournaments to athletic events as well as at retailers around the state of New Jersey.

Tau Beta Alpha is a multi-cultural diversity fraternity located in Hastings, Nebraska at Hastings College. We started this fraternity about a year ago with a vision to make a change in our community. The goal is to teach people about all the different diverse groups which sometimes get overlooked in this city. Since our group mostly consists of students from the big city, it was slightly uncomfortable for us to come to rural Nebraska and adjust to the ways. We feel it's important to spread our word and hopefully make Hastings College and the community open to new ideas.

Aloha, howzit going? I will start by telling a little about the community that I currently live in and why this is a major and important issue that needs to be solved in my community for the youth of the future. I live in Kihei, HI on the island of Maui. Hawaii is the most isolated archipelago in the world and yet we still manage to stay connected to the rest of the world, problems that occur on the mainland will also effect us. Currently the city of Kihei does not have a “real” high school. There are however two elementary schools and dozens of daycares.

Our chapter’s main concern is that students in our school district and families in our community do not know the risks that are placed on our environment by not recycling.

This project is to help and teach adolecents the importance of having an education. It has been said that children are our future so lets show them how to become the future. Adolecents always want to be heard, but they go about being heard the wrong way so they never get thier point across. Here's where we begin to show them how.

Team Hunger Force is an organization started by Josie D. and Scott L. to raise food, money, and awareness about world hunger and how it plagues the world. We recently held our first fund raiser in our hometown (Cheboygan, MI), which consisted of a door-to-door canned food drive, a raffle for products from local businesses, bakes sales, and a concert series in the evening. While in the future we will not be hosting identical events, we are going to continue to promote awareness and try to make a difference across Michigan.

The Apathy is Boring Project is a Canadian non-partisan project that uses art, media, and technology to encourage active citizenry, outreaching to a broad demographic of youth about how to be more involved in their communities and the democratic process.
Apathy is Boring was born in January 2004, to fill a gap in youth representation in politics and democracy. The original founders (Ilona Dougherty, 23, Paul Shore, 30, and Mackenzie Duncan, 20) saw that many of their peers felt disengaged from the political process.

Hello, my name is Alexandra Grotton, and up until about 4 weeks ago I was a resident of the breakwater homeless teen shelter. Every year, for the past 2 years, the breakwater teen program has held an annual Run for Shelter. The run helps raise much needed funds for the program. The funds that are raised, are used for things such as: Clothing vouchers, food for the day program, activities that teach youth to work together, outings, art supplies, and so much more.
