LET'S GET PHYSICAL - GIRLS' FITNESS PROGRAM

The Performing Arts and Life Skills Academy of Georgia (PALS,) in its 5th year, is embarking on keeping Girls educated and physically fit through our community center sports programs to include but not limited to: basketball, volleyball, soccer, golf, cheering and step teams, YOGA, and a host of Performing Arts and LIfe Skills programs for youth. PALS host sessions on money management for Youth, tutoring and testing, preparation for college and/or become workforce ready.

Hang TYMERS

Hang TYMERS (Teaching Youth Math Enrichment and Reading after School) is an after school program for at-risk children created by college volunteers from the University of Alabama. The program focuses on reading and mathematical mastery through one-on-one mentoring. In the beginning, sixth grade students are paired with a college mentor. This mentor serves as a role model, teacher, and friend.

Peers Mentoring Peers

Peers Mentoring Peers (PMP) is a program designed to assist new freshmen students while making the transition from middle school to high school with the assistance of an upperclassman help. The PMP program provides each freshman student with: Freshman Orientation (Fish Camp) that consists of summer activities usually held in the month of August. Ice Cream Social for incoming freshmen students and parents. This is an opportunity for both students and parents to meet and get acquainted with peer mentors and the coordinator(s) of the PMP program.
