We are trying to help the Darfurian refugees and victims. Our money goes to World Vision's humanitarian aid program in Darfur. Last year we raised $4,700 and this year's total is still being calculated as we are still fundraising.

It is a mixture of peanut paste, vegetable oil, powdered milk formula and essential vitamins and minerals. It was created to provide severely malnourished children with a high energy and high protein packed food.

In our community, because of a recent diagnosis, we have noticed an issue that is not being addressed. There are many people in our city that struggle with not only the disease of Multiple Sclerosis, which affects the brain and spinal cord, but also the cost of medication to try and slow the progression of M.S. My mom found out she had M.S. A man from the M.S. Anex Company came to our house to inform her on her medication. He started talking to me and said that he would really like to see support for finances of M.S. start in our community.

Special Events/Development Internship

The Special Events/Development Intern is a paid internship beginning as soon as possible. This individual will serve as a member of the fundraising team and will report to a Special Events Manager. The position’s primary focus is to provide support to the fundraising team in the execution and development of special events for the Foundation. The roster of special events that this position will have key roles in includes Lou Gehrig Day at Wrigley Field and ALS Walk4Life. S/he will also support the team in researching prospective sponsorship alliances and other fundraising efforts.

In our small town, we have a lake that is not in use. A sidewalk encompasses it, but no one uses it. I suggest that everyone should make it to the lake, AKA Make the Lake.

We are a group of 9 highschool sophomores organizing a 5k race in Takoma Park and Silver Spring, Maryland to raise money for Darfur and other important issues by working with the Holocaust Museum. We are going to have runners sponsored by the community and we are working hard to make this a great event. We are hoping for a huge turnout!

We produce walks all over the country; more than 10,000 participants will stride with us in 2007! Detroit is a prime market for us, and we'd like to build a team to plan and execute the walk, using our expertise and resources.

All money raised will benefit lung cancer research and be donated to the Lungevity foundation. Music, face painting, silent auction, raffles 1 mile and 3 mile walk. Held at Onondaga Lake Park in Liverpool, NY (just outside of Syracuse NY)
Lung cancer kills more men and women than any other cancer yet receives just a fraction of research $ per death as compared to other cancers.
