See It: The Community being helped
"STOP THE CYCLE -08- CAMPAIGN"... This campaign deals with different social ills that have been plaguing the nation for generations, general and personal. Force yourself to look inward and ask yourself, "Does the way I think, feel, and/or act come from a cycle of my family or society"? Sometimes who we are and what we do in life is seared into our gene pool, sometime it’s a learned behavior, however if it’s causing destruction vs. construction then something needs to change. We call this destructive behavior a generational curse because often times you can trace it back, maybe not to the root, but far enough to know some history about it. This generational curse will continue to happen as long as no one ever does anything different, for instance: If your great grandmother lived in poverty, and your grandmother lived in poverty, then your mother had to grow up in poverty, and if she chose to stay in poverty then you had to grow up in poverty, and if you choose to stay in poverty then your kids will grow up in poverty and so on and so forth. "Poverty" and it’s "Mentality" is a "Curse"..... The 2008 "Stop The Cycle" campaign focuses on inspiring those that have this impoverished mentality (among many others) to stand up and break this chain of destruction and non efficient behavior. This campaign will inspire by using methods such as: teaching, music/poetry, video production, art/graphic design, handouts amongst many other tools. The "Stop The Cycle" campaign is not race, gender, and/or social status specific, however our desire is to restore family and God in the household. As a nation, we have some generational curses that need to be broken because we have become destructive and non efficient in a lot of ways. Any body can join this movement as long as a solution is presented to the problem. This campaign is not limited to Dayton, OH or any geographical location. Don't wait until tomorrow, take a stand today, your children are at risk.......
