The Do Something, Brooks! Club sponsored a raffle fund raiser to benefit "Wings of Charity" - a charity that sends underprivileged teens to summer camp to learn to fly airplanes. Do Something leaders and captains sold raffle tickets for $2.00 each and the 5 winners got a FREE flight in a Cessna 172 for 30 minutes. Our club raised $2,015.00 and it all went to Wings of Charity based out of Carbondale, Illinois. We learned a lot about airplanes and flying, as an added benefit.
