As a current hair design member at Main Escape Salon and Day Spa, I have come up with a project to help the Clinton County Humane Society in our small town of Frankfort, Indiana. My coherts agree with my project, and we decided to cut human hair during our annual hot dog festival during the last weekend in July, and all our proceeds will go to the Humane Society. We are renting a space outside of the salon around the court house (the center of the festival). A tent will be set up and our stylists will start snipping away.

I am in an organization called FCCLA(Family Career and Community Leaders of America). In this organization we do a lot of community service projects. After both my aunt and grandpa had been diagnosed with cancer I decided that I was going to donate my hair to Locks of Love. This gave me the idea of doing a project in our community where we would encourage others to donate their hair to Locks of Love. I talked to a local hair salon and asked if they would be willing to cut hair free of charge, one night after school, so that all of the money could be donated to Locks of Love.
