thanksgiving

I am a bit convicted at the fact that as I describe this "Healthy Eating" Project, there is the remainder of a hearty pumpkin pie with traces of whip cream and all, sitting on a tidy little dish upon my desk. But that's okay... Thanksgiving is just around the corner, right? :)
As I share about this project, do not be mistaken by my hypocrisy. I am preaching to myself as much as I preach a healthy lifestyle to the average American. Hence, the theme of my project titled, "Thanksgiving Bliss".

My Junior year, I started a project in my high school's student council called "Turkey Teacher". Although I was inspired by other ideas and activities, I believe that this was the first time a project like this was actually carried out and turned out as successful as it did. The reason I wanted to create the project was to raise money for the Make-A-Wish foundation, which gives extremely ill children a chance to live their most desirable dreams.
